How John Leitch Invented the Safe Deposit:

"I was unhappy using a pill bottle with a crude slot cut in the lid for disposing my used blades, so I purchased a ceramic blade bank but was disappointed in the manner necessary to empty it and the fact that it was breakable. This prompted me to design something that would address my issues. The result is the “Safe Deposit” which uses heavier gauge SS or black aluminum tubing.  The SS is very expensive and difficult to machine.  Both are used in the auto racing business for custom exhaust systems.  I added the custom molded silicone rubber bottom cap and the top cap with a blade disposal slot. The bottom is easily removable to empty used blades into a paper container for recycling.  The rubber bottom is kind to your countertop and the overall “form follows function” design results in an esthetically appealing wet shaver’s accessory that should survive decades of use."
